Three years ago I almost slipped off a cliff hiking Angel’s Landing. I'd never seen the park in winter, and it looked like a completely different place. My wife and I set out on part of Angel's Landing and we were doing fine until the trail turned into sheets of ice. Going up wasn't too bad. Coming down was another story, and we ended up sliding most of it on our backs like a slide. A bit of a sketchy experience but the views were unreal.
